Here comes 2011!

Tuesday, December 28, 2010

While sitting in my chair resting after Christmas, I have been asking the Lord about the new things that are coming to the body of Christ.  While doing the proverbial examination of the number “eleven” that is associated with 2011, I discovered some things about this number.

Eleven is a number that has to do with some powerful pro-active statements from the bible.  And it is possible that the current generations are unaware of its prophetic significance.

Joseph was the eleventh son of Jacob, and while he was not the elder of the sons, he was the ruler.  It was Joseph who judged his brothers, the land, and the people.

Jesus Christ told us in Matthew 20:6-15 that the eleventh hour laborer in the field, the one who came last to the fields, was just as important as those who had been on assignment longer.

“And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing. And he said to them, ‘Why do you stand here idle all day?’  7. They said to him, ‘Because no one has hired us.’ He said to them, ‘You go into the vineyard too.’  8. And when evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, ‘Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last, up to the first.’  9. And when those hired about the eleventh hour came, each of them received a denarius.  10. Now when those hired first came, they thought they would receive more, but each of them also received a denarius.  11. And on receiving it they grumbled at the master of the house,  12. saying, ‘These last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.’  13. But he replied to one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius?  14. Take what belongs to you and go. I choose to give to this last worker as I give to you.  15. Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or do you begrudge my generosity?”

I believe that in this new year of 2011, we will see many fulfillments of our hearts desires come into bearing fruit.  But we must take steps to see the fulfillment happen.

Back in April, when I was doing a conference in Germany, the Lord told me to tell the people that the roar of the Lion was coming back into the body of Christ’s saints.  We were not to hold back from our desire to fulfill the perfect will of God that is recorded in our books of destiny.  By the anointing of Holy Ghost, I released a word of new things that would come to those in attendance, as well as those who would hear the word later.  It was not a time to hold back our sound, but to release that which is from the very depths of Christ in us, and stir not only our souls, but our lives. After this release, we would no longer have a mediocre approach to making the Church into the Ecclesia of Heaven on earth.  And then again, in Switzerland, Poland, and the United States, the Lord had me release that the roar of the Lion was coming back.

For too long, many in the body of Christ have found that their roar has been more of a kitten’s meow!  This has not increased the King’s dominion in this earth.

Many leaders have the mantles, and even the angels, to usher in great moves of revival.  And yet, they have not shared the deep things of their hearts, thinking that the church is not ready.

The other aspect of this kitten’s meow is when leaders have heard the voice of the Lord, and tried to carry out the Father’s perfect will, only to have people leave the gatherings.  And so the leaders stop, and hold back the details of what the church should become today.  But if our churches, leaders, and saints can grasp this new way of what a church should look like, of having fires of revival and later reformation, we would already be past the birthing process.

Not only are the leaders of our fellowships going through this, but also the saints themselves.  You may be asking yourself today, “Why am I here Lord?  Why am I even on this land or in this church?  What am I supposed to be doing?”  It is my belief that if you are feeling this, it is time to re-examine your reasons for getting out of bed in the morning.

It should never be about us.  But we in the church have a tendency to think this way.  What is my ministry?  What is my calling?  What is my gifting?  What is my life here on earth about?  If you ask these questions, let me remind you to be honest with yourself in your answers.

First of all, it is not about you!  When you came to declare Jesus Christ as your King of kings, you gave up your own desires.  You gave up your life that was until then, in your hands.  Did not many of you say to the Lord when He became your Savior that you would do whatever He asked of you, or go wherever He sent you?  Now be honest here, okay?  Many people, when they come to getting the inheritance of heaven for eternity, have said to our Lord, “Not my will, but Yours be done.”  And in your zeal, you meant every word of it.  So therefore, you volunteered to be where you are, or doing what you are doing right now.  You raised you hands to Him and surrendered.  But because of our daily business, we have become aware of the works of our own hands and not His. Yes, our Lord is still speaking to you. If you have had a feeling of not accomplishing anything, perhaps you have lost your intimacy and zeal of the Lord.  And now it’s time to get it back.

I remember very much when the Lord told me that I would move to Michigan.  I knew that a change was coming, but I was hoping it would be in Florida.  In fact, when the Lord told me that I would go to Michigan, I said, “Lord, it’s not even on my radar.”  To which He replied, “It’s on Mine!”

The word tells us “Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart” – Psalm 37:4.

So if we are discouraged with life right now, or feeling that we are on hold, it is because of not delighting in Him.  In intimacy with our Lord, we find zeal, we find encouragement, and we find our future and hope.  But today, this must change in all of us.

I have found that even though I love to kiss the Son daily, and share my coffee with Him, I still need to keep discovering how to be intimate with Him. And this is truly to delight in Him.

Are you trying to discover this and to make it a truth in your living?  If not, this is likely why you may be discouraged right now or even feeling that you need a change in life.

It is not bad to have a desire for change.  But again, allow me to remind you that if you want it, make it about Him and not yourself.  This is where most people, including myself, have failed in times of the past.

Make everyday about Him!  I believe this is part of the emphasis for 2011.  It will be about re-dedication to Him, re-developing our love for Him, and re-directing our wills into His.

In October, a friend showed me a bulletin by another prophet in which he also said that the roar of the lion would come back to the people of God. And then he went on to declare that Ezekiel 12:21-28 would occur.

In this scripture, it says, “21. And the word of the LORD came to me:  22. “Son of man, what is this proverb that you have about the land of Israel, saying, ‘The days grow long, and every vision comes to nothing’?  23.Tell them therefore, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: I will put an end to this proverb, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel.’ But say to them, The days are near, and the fulfillment of every vision.  24. For there shall be no more any false vision or flattering divination within the house of Israel.  25. For I am the LORD; I will speak the word that I will speak, and it will be performed. It will no longer be delayed, but in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and perform it, declares the Lord GOD.”   26. And the word of the LORD came to me:  27. “Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, ‘The vision that he sees is for many days from now, and he prophesies of times far off.’  28. Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word that I speak will be performed, declares the Lord GOD.”

This scripture immediately awakened inside of me.  As I studied these verses, I found that the Lord was telling all of us to take all the prophetic words that have been spoken to us, and to present them once again to Him.  He, our God, is personally going to remove the ungodly delay off of every word that we have received that was from Him.  We should not only have a hope this will happen, but an expectation.  And I believe very much that this word is for the body of Christ, the saints, today!

Do you remember when the Lord would give you a prophetic word, how much joy you would feel?  It is time to grasp this once again, but now, read this scripture from Ezekiel 12 when you do it.  And please, re-receive your words again.  Open yourself up to the good news that God loves you so much and has so many big plans for you, that He gave a personal word to you in the past that He thinks is so important, that He wants to cause it to happen.

So please look with a fresh and new attitude at what are you doing today, in this world and also why you are here?  It is to be about Him, and about what His desires are.  I believe that this will kindle in you a new desire of life in the coming new year.  Personally, I know that while I may not have been God’s first choice, I am now!  And that is why I will work the fields in passion.  And why I will roar with a new sound, of hope, future, and success.

God Bless You In Jesus Christ’s Name!  And HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Pat

Thank you, Pat, for the encouragement for 2011 -- especially the part about re-receiving the words that have been spoken over me in the past. I actually did that last week, at a kind of "holiday low point", and chose to believe what Father says as opposed to other voices. It worked!

Thank you so much for sharing this. God has been stirring some of this in our hearts. It is no longer time to shrink back, pull back, lick our wounds, do our thing or live as the world. Time to divest ourselves anything and everything that would even remotely get in the way of us living completely for God and being about our Father's business. It is a new day, new time and yes, the lion within us and our churches WILL roar again!!!

Dear Pat !
Many thanks and New Year greetings from Germany. Thank you for encouragement with your words. We also feel in our heard that Jesus will fullfill all prophetic words He has given. Also if we (and church in Germany) were a little bit slowly in 2010. We will get a new chance of fruit. Thank you that you had given the word that every thing comes from Him. My feeling for 2011 is: Jesus says: Give me your worship – and I will give you bread. God bless you and your ministry. Kathrin.

Good word Pat. This is encouraging since Victoria and I are still waiting for fullfillment of great words The Lord has spoken to us and by visions. I hope you and Valeria have a great year as well.

Good stuff, Pat. I'm right in the middle of writing my first non-fiction book and this has inspired me to add a section.
I pray that God blesses and uses you mightily in 2011.

Thank you Pat! What a timely word, as I am praying if I need to take a permanent job at the company where I have been a temp for over two years or to begin a fresh start in a different company. Both opportunities are open and at my doorstep but I have learned timing is oh so important in the Lord!

Pat,
You are such an open vessel of the Holy Spirit. What a refreshing gift you are to the body of Christ! I just had Kathleen P(Flowing River Church-Clearwater, Fl) make a banner with the Lion's Head and the words Kingdom Authority, which I donated to my church in Lion's Head Ontario, Canada. Now is our time to take that Kingdom Authority and roar as you mentioned!
