Greetings to each and everyone of you on this Holiday Season!
I normally would make a video blog this time of year to share with you. However, I am instead making this into a newsletter. Perhaps I will make a short video as well, but in my heart I have lingering questions that I would like to bring to your attention.
We as the ecclesia are to change the culture of the lands that we live in. As blood bought true believers we have been told by Jesus Christ that we are to have dominion over the land, the animal life, as well as the culture and that we are to make Christ the center of where we abide. And I know that this is the desire of many believers. Unfortunately, as of now, we in the body of Christ are in truth a sub-culture that has not transformed our cities and our nations for God. Now please hear me on this topic and don’t think that you don’t want to go any further in reading this newsletter.
Folks, we are to change the world and make a huge difference in today’s political system, economic system, and also in the societies that we have. We are ordained by God, each one of us, to have a purpose filled life that will make a difference and cause a great awakening to occur. We are to be a people of revival, of reformation, and of intimacy with our God through Jesus Christ, and lead by Holy Ghost to do these things. I often hear of how people in many places where I travel are crying out for revival. The people are praying, they are decreeing, and they are hoping for a move of God that is not like history has shown us from the past, but a greater move that will affect whole lands.
I too am one of these who has a hope for such things. I have a hope that we will bring God into our communities, and He will stay! Where there would be a time for all to gather in fellowship and be in total unity with our Lord and King Jesus Christ. And for sure, many people when asked really desire such a move of life.
But are we really hungry enough for this to happen? Now allow me to be transparent and honest with you from my heart. Are we truly the people of God who want to see our Lord and are willing to establish Him upon this earth and in our lands? Or are we a Sunday group of people who want to hear good teaching for a limited time and then just go on with day to day living? Are we willing to put everything to the side and join together in fellowships that not only request the presence of the Lord, but allow Him to and want Him to stay? Are we to be a victorious people representing heaven on earth, or are we to be a defeated people that carry nothing but woe and worry?
I have to ask these questions because of the day that we are living in. You see, America is about to come into a time of Great Trial, Testing, and Failure. No matter who is elected president in 2012, they will not be able to help anyone. It is now the time of the Church, which in truth should be the ecclesia, to rise up and petition God on behalf of our nation. It is the ecclesia that will promote healing of the land, of the dollar, and of our legal government. It is the body of Christ that are the ambassadors of heaven here on Terra Firma who are to legally, in the eyes of God, make a transition of stopping evil and bringing a life of purity, love, and a future.
And I believe that there are only two ways in which this is really going to happen; revival and spiritual warfare! The subject of warfare is for another time. But for now, I desire to discuss with you this subject of Revival. What is revival and why is it so important?
First of all, do you remember when you became born again? Do you remember those first few days of how you felt towards people, about the news, and of your own life? In my case, I went from being a person who had some anger, frustrations, agitations, and other issues personally, to one who thought that everyone needed Jesus Christ as King right now! No matter how they talked about me, treated me, or were sarcastic with me, I started to care more about them than ever before. I discovered that no matter who they were, I loved them. And while I was known as a hard worker before I asked Jesus Christ to be my King, afterwards I became known not only as one who was always at work, but I would do more than required of myself. I often would go the extra mile and even do other people’s assignments. And further more, I actually enjoyed this! I was so at peace inside myself, that I literally wanted everyone to care about me and to see that I was a living testimony of what I had received through Jesus Christ.
People could drive on the road with me and honk their horns, and it would not upset me at all. I had a different outlook with people who may not have the best etiquette, or language. All that mattered to me was that I wanted to be their friend and to learn to love them greater. Admittedly, there were quite a few people who were not too sure of who I had become. Some actually said, “Pat, I liked you the way you used to be.” You see, I had to my friends, who were pretty rough and tough as I had been, become someone who was now really treating them like they had wanted to be treated years earlier; In respect and in kindness, as well as with honor. I treated and cared for these friends like I did those who I had been in the military with.
Do your remember how you felt when Christ was put first in everything you were doing? Of how you loved to sing to Him, and praise Him, and that you loved the people of your church, your pastor (they could do no wrong), and they were all new and welcome additions in your life? Man, that was such a great time of living. For the first time in my life, I had purposed that now I can make a big difference in many people’s lives and I was truly excited in knowing that one day, I would get to stand before Jesus Christ, God the Father, and Holy Ghost, and be welcomed into their arms, heaven, and eternity with unending love. It was as if I had become the “happy” button for living. I would sing until 2 or 3 am to the Lord, and I would tell Him over and over of how much I loved Him because of His love for me. And I tell you, I was loud when I did this! Nothing else mattered to me but getting closer to Him. And then I discovered Holy Ghost. That was a whole new realm of laughter, joy, learning a new language, and hearing how God said in His word, “Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit!” And I went, “Wow! This is so great! I have God’s Holy Ghost living in me! Shabba dabba do!!!!
I want that today! Yes, I have a relationship with God, Jesus Christ, and Holy Ghost. And everyday, I tell them who they are to me. And yet, over the years, I have become “mature”, and laughingly what I call “Spiritual.” I am able to help leaders from all over the world with the gift of wisdom. I am by God, and by Holy Ghost, able to give prophetic words to people, fellowships, corporations, and nations. And yet, where is the hunger of revival? The cry that says, “Bring me back to my first love! Bring me back to my First Passion!” This my friends, is what you and I need today in order to hear the Lord more clearly (not just for others, but for ourselves), and to desire again to make a difference and truly believe the word of God that says, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”
Revival is the gaining of your first love, and it being re-fired, re-kindled, and re-ignited. Revival is where you come back into just wanting to stay in His presence and nothing, I mean nothing, interferes with that.
We are crying out for revival, and yet, when the opportunity arises to go to where it can happen, many people are just not making the effort to step into what the Lord has for us that is not only about first love on our hearts, but God’s holy and strong love for us. You know, we are starting to cry out for revival and asking God to start it up. I am now wondering if He has ever stopped it? I mean to say, is God saying to us, “I wish that they would ask me for revival in America and then I would think about it.” No! God is in His heart, wanting to blast us all now with His presence, His love, His passion, and yes, even His hopes. I need, I want, and I will have revival. Because God never stopped giving us the opportunity to have it. But when the possibility is arising on my land, no matter who is leading it, I want to be there. How about you? Are you ready in this new year to see a revival that can become a great awakening that is greater than what we know of in history? Are you ready to ask Holy Ghost to give you a deeper, more desirous hunger that makes you almost scream for the presence of God? Then if you are one of those, release, decree, and announce to the Lord – “Daddy! I am here for You! I want You! I want You! I want You! Jesus Christ, I must have You! I must, I must, I must have You! Holy Ghost – I need to be lead by you, to be grown by You, to be educated by You! I need and must love like You! AMEN!”
In this new year, I am going after revival. It is really and truthfully the only hope our nation has of averting judgments from heaven, as well as calamity upon the earth. In revival, we will lose our criticalness, our sarcasm, apathy, and fears, and see not only God, Jesus Christ, and Holy Ghost be in us, on us, and around us, but we will see the true ecclesia of heaven on earth arise and watch as this affects all that you and I put our hands too.
God Bless You In Jesus Christ’s Name!
