View of the Candidates – Ted Cruz

This is the third installment in the series of looking at the leading candidates and what is perceived as perhaps good qualities and regrettable actions.

If you missed the first two articles (about Donald Trump and Marco Rubio), you can look for them at www.patholloran.com/blogs.

One of the important things that I want to bring to everyone’s attention in this moment is that there are once again many people that are starting to say, “I don’t trust any of those running.  So I will not be voting.”

I need to correct those who speak such foolishness.  First of all, if you don’t vote, you don’t have a right to talk about things after the elections.  If you disagree, but did not vote, you do not have a voice because you surrendered that right when you didn’t vote.

And in truth, it can even affect your voice of prayer for a nation.  You see, in the supernatural realms, when a person chooses not to vote on such things as governmental positions, the enemy of our destinies of the adversary of God will use this as a legal permission slip to hold evidence later against you when you try to have a voice in prayer for any governmental intercession.

You see, this is the consequence of a person who has been given an opportunity to express their choice, but does not engage in it.  When they later go to the Lord about a current political situation, if they did not vote before (whether it be in the local or Federal casting of a ballot), then the enemy will boldly approach the Lord and declare, with documented inactions in hand, that the person relinquished their voice of petition by their un-involvement in pursuing a God given right.

If you did not vote in the last Presidential election, and then you go to petition the Lord for the President to do things in the moral laws of our God, the enemy will declare that the person’s voice really is not carrying the authority because of the inactivity with voting.

This will even carry into the local city and township petitions as well.  But if a person will repent for their not voting, and ask the Lord to help them to discern His voice in politics, there can come a stopping of the enemy declaring the Saint of God is ineffective.

I just wanted to let everyone know about this as it is a tangible effect of not voting.  Remember, your vote counts.

Now let us look at Rafael Edward “Ted” Cruz.

He is a bit of an anomaly to me.  First of all, I have studied his record of the past, and I find that the man has been very effective in studying, knowing, and using the laws based upon the Constitution of the United States of America.

For many years, he was a Supreme Court Clerk to Judge William Rehnquist.  To get this position (out of thousands who apply, only 36 are selected to be the Clerks), you must have a proven work ethic and a distinct knowledge of the laws of the Constitution.

What a Supreme Court Clerk does is to be responsible for overseeing the filing of records and maintaining them.  This is a position of great trust, and of integrity.

He was also the longest serving Solicitor General of Texas, in which he appeared in nine court cases before the Supreme Court.  Of those nine, while it is implied that he won all of them, in truth, as I did my research, he actually won total victory in two of the cases. In three of the cases, he lost the court battle.  In four of the cases, it was a mixed decision by the Justices.

Now the reason that I bring this up is that out of all the candidates, Ted Cruz appears to be the only one with such a vast and experienced knowledge of Constitutional Law from a practical viewpoint.  The others, in particular Marco Rubio, declare they have an understanding of Constitutional Law, but in truth, he has no documented experience as a Federal Officer.

What I want to point out here with Ted Cruz is that in choosing a new Supreme Court Justice in the future, he may perhaps be the best choice to influence and enhance this choice for a permanent Conservative Justice.

I want to add a thought to this discussion at this moment.  It is true, because of the serious “Executive” decisions of President Obama, and the manner in which he has carried out his orders, our Constitution is under attack and its very being is threatened to be cast aside as an “outdated” document by liberals and progressives.  Ted Cruz is for sure the one to make it viable in today’s political environment.

Ted Cruz is for sure against what is called the “Washington Cartel” and its ideas and expanding of the Federal Deficit.  He has lobbied and filibustered quite strongly for putting the Federal budgets under control, as well as calling for improved investigations of excessive spending in Federal Departments and even with political positions.

Ted Cruz also declares that he is a Believer in Jesus Christ.  It is true in regards to what his belief system is.  When I see him, he does in fact wear the robe of righteousness, and the garment of salvation.  His talk is actually a walk.  And while we all know that none of us are prefect in our human walking, he really does call Jesus Christ his Lord.

But as I have stated before, we are not electing a pastor to be President.

We must remember, that whoever is our President, we are all called by the Lord to pray for that office and to make petition to the Father of Lights for that position to be a gift to us all.

As a reminder, it is written that, “Every good and perfect gift from above, comes from the Father of Lights.” (James 1:17)

In praying for the next President, consider asking God as the Father of Lights to give this nation a gift of a righteous and integrity filled, patriotic leader who carries the moral laws of God.  That my friends, is a great idea!

Now as we continue to discuss Ted Cruz and his past experience, I would like to point out that in his time as a U.S. Senator, he has been very active in standing for moral decisions, as well as trying to implement new thinking into an old system of foreign policy.

While I commend this for sure, I am concerned about the inexperience of his dealing in actual involvement to foreign travel and the meeting of world leaders.  But that is the case with each candidate (to be honest).  His experience on the foreign political scene is a detriment to being effective with such persona’s as Putin.

It was totally a failure on President Obama’s administration as he, to this day, is a wimp and foolish appearing man to perhaps all world leaders.

While Ted Cruz has expressed his deep support of Israel and standing with the Jewish State, his views on foreign policy for the most part (as of today), have been limited.  But with the correctly appointed counsel of advisors, I believe he would be a man of strong policies.

Cruz has declared the following:” As Commander-in-Chief, I would adopt a foreign policy strategy that follows three principles; Restore leadership on the global stage, rather than withdrawing from it; Fiercely defend our allies and interests; Judge each challenge through the simple test of what is best for America, because what is best for America is best for the world.”

He is the only candidate out of those who remain in the running, to actually state a foreign policy syllabus for others to investigate.  I find this interesting in that the other candidates (GOP and Democrat), have only talked about what they plan and not actually written it out.

Now it may appear that I am inclined to suggest voting for Ted Cruz by what I have given so far.  And while this is a partial view of what he has done and what he is experienced in, I think you can get a feeling for who he is.  And that is the point of these viewpoints.

My purpose again, is not to convince you on who to vote for.  I am not, in any way, trying to get you to believe as I do nor choose who I am interested in seeing.

Another thing that I want to point out is that as a prophet, while many people have been asking me who is God’s choice, the truth is that God has made a decision to have man be in control of this election.  God has placed us in control of our nation. That is part of what it means to be the “Radah” of heaven on this earth.  And so, instead of asking God to make the decision for us, we should be asking Holy Ghost to lead us in all truth and to even pray for us.

A prophet really should not be the one who says, “Thus says God… His decision for President is … (Drum Roll) ---- Pat Holloran!” Hey! There you go!!   I like that!    Of course, now all of you can correct me and command that ungodly word under the blood covered judgment of Jesus Christ and under His feet!

Now with Ted Cruz, one of the puzzles that I have had is how, in quite a few past speeches, his words were not truthful and in fact, were exaggerations and blatant falsehoods.  It was a concern to me because of what I had heard of him and of my research that I did.

He came out publicly for many weeks telling of so-called facts about other candidates and their past that was alarming to me.  At first, my alarms went off because of what I saw come out of his mouth as dark smoke.

Dark smoke is what comes out of everyone’s mouth when they lie, exaggerate, falsify, or just do not tell the truth.  And in the beginning, his soundwaves carried light and truth.  But when he started to attack Trump, there were a lot of inaccuracies.  I did not like this and I must say that I lost a lot of respect for him.

There were even underhanded schemes that occurred in particular, Iowa.  It had to do with the email that went out shortly before the caucus of Dr. Carson quitting the race.  Of course, it was later discovered that Cruz’s Communications Director was responsible for this underhandedness.

But when Cruz at first denied that he had knowledge of this, it was apparent by his soundwaves that he was not being truthful with the public.

There were indeed other examples.  In a debate that I witnessed a while ago, Cruz said that “Trump said if you don’t support socialized healthcare, you’re heartless.”  This was a falsehood of extreme measures.

And while there have been other questionable statements made by Ted Cruz that are defamatory and outright lies, I find that for a man who is calling Jesus Christ Lord, it is almost reprehensible.

Now notice that I said up above, “When he started to attack Trump.”  I say this, because since the removal of his Communications Director, there has been an about face in his telling of truths and half-truths.  He has started to speak factual and proven knowledge about his opponents, as well as being more careful to not regurgitate what he was told by others.

It is my belief, that he has learned from this experience with the Communications Director of the past being involved in his campaign, that the American public will tolerate some “fibbing” by politicians. But when it comes to playing so dirty that it replaces character and integrity, the people are at a point where they will not tolerate it.

And if Cruz would be as sharp as what most of America is hearing with Donald Trump speaking up first, there would more than likely be a reversal of standings with the delegates.

Ted Cruz at this point, appears (notice this word) to be on the road to truth.  And in Washington, that is almost invisible.  He for sure has the knowledge and the voracity to defend our Constitution.  But does he have the ability to bring to himself a counsel of mature, strong, and political well educated advisors who will give him the perspectives of being President in a situation where today, the nation is about to be lost in regards to what our Forefathers of the nation intended?

This I am not quite sure.  If a person knowingly lies in such an important time as now, while campaigning, will it come into the office later?  Of course, as I mention often, none of us are perfect.  But politics can be a wicked and evil protocol for life if you succumb to its temptations.  The important part that we all need to keep in mind is that our part is to protect by decrees, announcements, and faithfulness, the one who will be our newest President in 2016.

God Bless You In Jesus Christ’s Name!  And God Bless America!

From the desk of Dutch Sheets:

Regarding the upcoming elections, prayerfully agree with me that:

  • We vote for a person of decency and honor (integrity matters)
  • We vote for someone that cannot be bought or sold (crony capitalism is evil)
  •  We don’t jump from the frying pan of failed government to the fire of another chameleon who changes colors at will (the political spirit)
  • We remember that not everyone in Washington DC has been part of the problem—be wise and discerning (God has been sending some good men and women to DC)
  • We vote for humility (which God exalts), morality and righteousness (which exalts a nation)
  • We choose substance and specific ideas over shallow rhetoric, fame, showbiz events and exciting promises (does anyone remember ’08?)
  • We remember that we are also voting for the next 2-3 Supreme Court Justices, who will undoubtedly shape our nation and lives for decades! (they could possibly do more good or bad for our nation than the next president)
  • We vote for an uncompromising, consistent, radically pro-life person (we MUST have this)
  • By God’s grace we end up with a praying, Bible-reading, moral, humble, honest and wise person in the White House

Be very careful. Pray. Listen to your heart where Holy Spirit lives. I promise you—we’re voting for the destiny of our nation.
